With hospitals the decoration is pretty much going to remain the same as patients come and go, but within a nursing facility, the opportunity to put a smile on a persons face, or to brighten up a persons day with a little color in a room can make all the difference.

Generally for older people, pastels can promote a soothing feeling on the mind. This is because pastel colors are often associated with softness. This softness plays a part on relation in most people, and can actually help with a persons breathing patterns. While this is not always going to be the case with each individual, studies have show that on a majority of people this is so.
